Based in Oshawa Ontario, The Durham Dragons Track & Field club is one of the top track clubs in Canada, Ontario & number one in Durham Region producing some of the top junior runners in the Province over the last several years. Our focus is the long term development of the athlete, not just to peak in high school. Our goal is to produce the best possible athlete by providing an adaptable program that has been tried tested and true according to our alumni. Individuals require coaching by a running coach, not just another runner, and not a program that worked for one talented runner.  We have a proven track record with 12 National Team Assignments in the last eight seasons, not including the elementary level (Hershey Track), several National Medalists and Provincial Record holders, and over two dozen scholarship recipients just to start...We help make Athletes, not take them.. Be wary of coaches who tell you they can "Save Your Child" as this type of recruiting undermines the young athlete's confidence, which no ethical person would consider coaching. For further information regarding this matter please refer to the Athletics Ontario CODE OF CONDUCT section. In contrast to other sports, there is no house league or "rep" levels, period. All age groups have access to the best competitions and coaches. Any coach that says otherwise is, misinformed or misleading. (Refer to coaches code of conduct)

Our focus is long term development

Despite being based in Oshawa, the club draws athletes from Scarborough, Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Courtice, Bowmanville, Cobourg, Markham, Uxbridge, Port Perry, Peterborough, and Lindsay.  The Durham Dragons serve runners of all ages ( Minor Track & Athletics Ontario & Ontario Masters (starts at 30)) who are welcome to join, along with all high school track athletes looking to continue their development. The Durham Dragons Athletic Track & Running Club has a goal to promote wellness amongst youth by providing and encouraging quality running activities and events, both recreational and competitive for the beginner and elite athletes. You can join the club at anytime with our TryB4youJoin and begin a program designed to meet your goals. The Dragons are the club most recommended by high schools for providing over and above basic training to their athletes seeking post secondary opportunities.

Coaches Training Athletes

Founded in 2001 as an offshoot of an older, more established club, and now with over 300 members past and present, the Durham Dragons Athletics name was adopted in 2003 and the club has never looked back.  Practices are Now at All Saints in Whitby, Pine Ridge & Pickering High School .
